i try new products all the time.
with the help of my monthly Birchbox subscription, addiction to j.crew, and aimlessly strolling the beauty aisle while i’m supposed to be grocery shopping, i stumble upon quite a few beauty gems.
try these, and you’ll love them!
for your skin: Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion

personally, applying lotion is something i remember to do once i’m already at work and i look down at my skin and think…
obviously dry skin isn’t pretty nor fabulous, so i proceed to fumble around in my tote to try to find some tiny bottle of Peter Thomas Roth lotion i took from the last hotel room i stayed in.
BUT- with this in-shower lotion remedy, i don’t have to worry about it anymore. just apply after cleansing your skin. it’s quick & easy…not to mention convenient. you won’t have that sticky feeling. just soft, moisturized skin. try it! you’ll like it!
for your hair: Sachajuan Volume Powder

whatever your hair situation may be, if you need some added volume, this magical spray powder will give it to you.
i am IN LOVE with this product. i typically purchase it from j.crew, but you can buy directly from Sachajuan.com as well.
if you want your hair to have a messy look- done.
if you want your straight look to be bigger- done.
if you want your curls to have the volume of Dolly Parton’s locks- done.
for volume, lift sections of hair to spray at the root & fluff with your fingertips.
for a messy look, curl your hair around your finger into a twist & spray. mess it up a little & VOILA! your hair will instantly transform to “cute-messy”.
try this volume powder to get the looks you want without the stickiness of a hairspray. you’ll be addicted.
for your nails: CND Vinylux Weekly Polish
image from makeupalley.com
i am a nail salon regular…usually for a gel mani.
i am also OCD…so once that polish starts peeling from one side, all ten nails will be stripped in about thirty-two minutes.
if this sounds like your experience, you need Vinylux nail polish. some salons have it, but you can also buy it from beauty stores like Ulta.
this polish dries quickly without the need of an LED Lamp. it also stays on for about two weeks! its not thick like gel, but it stays on way longer than the traditional polish. i have started applying this polish in between gel manicures. it lets my nails recoup from my horrible peeling habit, and stays in tact way longer than a regular mani.
currently they have mostly neutral colors and a few pinks and reds. definitely try it out and see what you think!
