it’s fifty-five degrees today, and it feels quite cold compared to the beautiful weather we’ve been taking for granted over the past few weeks.
since Nashville decided to feel like winter again, i thought i would throw it back to a shoot Madi and i did, when the snow was melting away & spring was just around the corner.
the explanation for this outfit is pretty simple.
stripes are a classic, light wash denim is making a MAJOR comeback, and i decided (with a little help from a friend) to update my faded, j.crew black jeans.
Monica and i cut these rips in my pants while sitting on the floor of my room. we completed the project with a tiny, white swiss army knife i purchased in Switzerland. i bought it during my senior trip to Europe after graduating high school…i even got “AMELIA” engraved into it.
so cool, i know.
but surprisingly, i have not lost it through switching out purses, and seven years later, that knife became the perfect tool to imperfect my black, faded jeans.
oh, and naturally, Monica was the perfect person to help me with the deconstruction, as she is the master of feminine edginess.
and may i add, what goes with a casual outfit with rips & fading better than a 2.55?
