i recently got a history lesson about Bean Boots from my friend Monica.
i frequent Monica’s closet often, because honestly- two closets are always better than one.
she lets me borrow these boots of hers, which is a big deal…because they aren’t the typical Bean Boots you might think.
she found these boots in a vintage shop in New York City, of course.
Monica always finds the neatest vintage pieces…
these boots have a label on the heel deemed with the original name, Maine Hunting Boots.
production of these boots started in 1912, and were the very first product made by Leon Leonwood Bean.
Hence the name of the popular hunting shoe, Bean Boots.
i paired these boots with wool socks from L.L. Bean (duh), a classic white v-neck tee, a winter weight trench, wool leggings and my Chanel 2.55.
